Giucy Guice's first line for FreeSpirit Fabrics is Enrapture. He had this to say: "For years, the lyrics from Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind" have danced in my head. The verse where he sings about a paperback novel from a drugstore has always called to mind a vivid tale of a tragic love story. A decrepit gothic castle overlooking a wave battered cliffside; candles barely illuminating threadbare, velvet covered furniture; dark corners of peeling wallpaper enlaced with years of mangled, drooping cobwebs. In the walls of this crumbling manor, a love story unfolds. Enrapture, my first collection for FreeSpirit, sets the stage for this romance. Inspired by bodice ripper paperback novels, the lilting florals and alluring geometrics of this collection tell a story of love won. And perhaps love lost...
