Hello everyone! I hope you are staying inside where it is warm and you can do LOTS of sewing! We are keeping warm here at the shop and trying to come up with new projects, classes, and clubs for your sewing enjoyment. I have several NEW things to tell you about now and even MORE to come soon!
FIRST, I'd like to tell you about our changed hours for this winter.
Saturdays : OPEN 10:00am-2:00pm (this starts January 18)
This Friday, January 17 we are vending at PRBC retreat and we will only be open here at the shop from 10:00am-2:00pm, sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
You may have seen we will be CLOSED on Monday, January 27. This may change, so feel free to check our facebook page or our website for further updates!
We have a NEW feature on our point of sale system. We have Subscriptions available. These are classes, clubs or kits that your card on file will be automatically billed for each month. This makes this easier for us and it is a secure "vault" that our card processor has on file for you. The catch with this is that you MUST sign up BEFORE the START date. Once it has started you cannot join unless we create a "make-up" group with a later start date. So, please pay attention if we say to "sign up BEFORE" a certain date!
We also will be launching some NEW marketing features with emails that will automatically be generated and sent to you for new products and/or sale items. We will even be able to send birthday coupons to you!

Sewing 4 Dummies: Sock It to Me Quilt Class
Sundays February 9 & 16, 2020
Cost: $20 includes pattern
We will use the Purple Pineapple Studio pattern: Sock It To Me to make this easy quilt. Learn basic cutting and piecing skills. This is a 2 part class but we may not need the second week.
Sewing 4 Dummies Class
2020 Stripology Tablerunner Club
Starts Tuesday February 11, 2020 7:00pm
This is a 9 month club and runs February 2020- October 2020. We will meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We will demo a table runner from GE Designs ( there will be 3 Quilt As You Go runners). We will serve snacks and adult beverages. Sometimes we will have door prizes, and we will have a prize the final month!
This is a subscription club. This means you pay the Joining Fee when you register, and your card on file will be billed each month for that month's pattern. You will get the pattern when you attend the club night or you can pick up in shop anytime after that night. If we are mailing you the pattern we will ship it out the week that club meets. You can sign up in store or online. We will have kits available in our "colors" each month on a very limited basis and at a discount. You can also get discounts on the pre-cuts used for that month's project if you want to choose your own.
You will have access to a private FB group that we will use to share pictures, tips, live video demos, and more.
Attendance is NOT required but it sure is FUN!

2020 Purse of the Month Club
Purse of the Month by Sallie Tomato! This series has been designed for beginner sewists and bag making enthusiasts. Start Month 1 with Holly and work your way up to Month 6 to make Audrey. Throughout the series, you will learn essential tips and techniques about sewing bags from each pattern. This series is designed to help you learn and expand your bag making skills!
This is a 6 month subscription style club with an optional class component. If you sign up for the entire 6 month series you will get the kits for $25 each month. Your card will be billed automatically each month. If you choose to purchase only the months you like (these are listed individually) you will pay $30 per month. We can ship the kits for $6.99 each. So even if you are far away you can participate.
Each month on the 4th Thursday evening at 6:00pm we will meet for an "open sewing" style class. Your kits will be ready to pick up before class if you want to get your fabrics purchased early, or we will pass them out in class. We will go over tips for the pattern and then you can cut and sew on your own with us here to answer questions. You can also choose to come get your kit, listen to our tips, and then sew completely at home. You will not finish some of the bags in one night- you will have to finish at home! It is NOT required to attend the classes.
Each month you will receive the kit which includes the pattern and hardware for the purse. You will get a "club" discount on fabrics and interfacings needed for the bag. The first month's purse: Holly is shown.
