Quilted Trucker Hat

Class Fee includes a copy of the “Quilted Trucker Hat Pattern” by Rose City Originals and a piece of Peltex for the hat brim.
In this class we’ll work together to construct your own Quilted Trucker Hat. In making the hat you’ll focus on the following: sewing curves, cutting out patterns, and you will get the chance to work with a variety of stabilizers.
You’ll need everything under materials on the back of the pattern**, except the Peltex. Sewing Machine, Denim or heavy duty machine needle, Scissors, Iron/Pressing mat (optional), Water Soluble Marker and Pins (they work better than clips for this project). Other items may be needed. We’ll email out a full list a few days in advance.
**Hat closure options: We do not carry the snaps or the snap setters. We recommend ?” Hook & Loop Tape (velcro), OR Tati has come up with how to use 2-1” D rings and fabric to create a closure.-- Supplies necessary will depend on your choice of closure.
Prep you need to complete before class:
*Paper patterns cut out and ready to use
*Front Panel for hat needs to be quilted (this piece needs to be a minimum of a 10” Square, and foam stabilizer such as Soft N Stable is preferred, but batting or fusible fleece is fine)
*Location: TBD*
